Repeated Unraid disk errors

Featured Replies

Good afternoon,

I'm not the most experienced Unraid user so forgive my ignorance on these matters.  I've had a few errors with disk 23 ST1400NM0288 (Sdb) off an on. I've rebuilt the drive onto itself in the past succesffully but now I just got another large group of errors which has taken the drive offline so i'm looking for some more experienced input.  I did attempt to reseat the cables but since this is the 2nd time with a large error count im thinking there may be more to it.  Disk 6, 10 and 15 also show smart errors on the server but i'm also unsure on the severity of those. I planned on taking the 2 4tb drives out and upgrading them soon but i want to first see if the error drive is a problem or not.

Any assistance or references would be great appreciated.tower-diagnostics-20240827-1049.zip

Thank you,

That disk doesn't look good, you can run a long SMART test, but it has a lot of reallocated sectors, I would replace it even if it passes the test.
