September 7, 20241 yr Hi All, I wanted to test this to solve the problem with array not starting after reboot automatically. It did not work and in addition after the second reboot all my vm's and docker where gone from the Web GUI. I saw already several topics for that in forum but with no clear explanation why does it happen and how to prevent it. I was able to recreate the VM and reinstall the dockers (vdisk and docker appdata was not gone from the Array). But why it happened and why the array does not auto start after reboot is a mystery for me. Can any of you help to solve it ? I have nas-diagnostics-20240907-0943.zip
September 7, 20241 yr Author At least docker and VM's are still there after reboot. Edited September 7, 20241 yr by ruzjio
September 8, 20241 yr Community Expert If that is after a reboot don's see why the array is not autostarting, try togging the setting and reapplying.
September 8, 20241 yr Author I did that at the beginning (see first post). But the main issue here is the fact that the docker and VM were gone
September 8, 20241 yr Community Expert Previous diags show that both the docker and libvirt images are new, either there's a missing pool/device or there's a duplicate image, post the output from: find /mnt -name libvirt.img
September 8, 20241 yr Author root@NAS:~# find /mnt -name libvirt.img /mnt/user/system/libvirt/libvirt.img /mnt/cache/system/libvirt/libvirt.img
September 8, 20241 yr Community Expert There's only one, so assuming no device is missing, it suggests the old one was deleted, if you have a backup restore it, if you don't, create new VM(s) with the same settings as before and point to the existing vdisk(s). For Docker, and assuming the old appdata still exists, you can just recreate the image and restore the container from Apps: https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/manual/docker-management/#re-create-the-docker-image-file Then: https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/manual/docker-management/#re-installing-docker-applications Also see below if you have any custom docker networks: https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/manual/docker-management/#docker-custom-networks
