September 7, 20241 yr I use a large/random password for root that I don't want to type in the local server console. Is there a way to for the local server console to be automatically logged in? (I'm not worried about local physical security.)
September 7, 20241 yr Community Expert Use a password manager (PM). It could the one in your browser (Believe Edge, Firefox and Chrome all have one in them) or a third party one with a Browser extension/plugin for that PM.

September 7, 20241 yr Community Expert OK, Now I get it. Sorry but I know this is a Linux (and Unix) point of security. There will never again be a entry (or backdoor) point deliberately put in that allows for so easy an access to a Linux machine with root privileges.
