September 22, 20241 yr For about the past 2 weeks I keep having Dockers uninstall themselves. Ive had to reinstall about 10 dockers (OMBI, BAZARR, SONARR, JACKETT, IMMICH, POSTGRES, REDIS, and the list keeps going) its strange. Ill be using the service one day and the following its just gone, I cant access it, and when I go to look its gone from UNRAID. I can reinstall from previous dockers and it comes back with zero configuration just fine. Not sure what is going on or how to fix this! tower-diagnostics-20240922-1601.zip

September 22, 20241 yr Author Before. Last night two dockers dropped off (OMBI and BAZARR) and I didn't reboot the device. It has been up for a few days now (Uptime 5 days 1 hour 5 minutes) . The odd thing is I was using OMBI last night and then today it was gone off the machine, the only reason I realized was I was trying to use it today Other dockers it will be missing for days before I realize. I reinstalled it like the other dockers before it and its functioning normally. Im on OS 6.12.13 Edited September 22, 20241 yr by T_Matz
September 22, 20241 yr I haven't seen containers disappear while simply being used or "in the middle of the night" kind of thing, but I've had them vanish immediately many times when saving them after editing. I've even had something similar happen with VMs. If there's some configuration error that can't be dealt with, I'm notified of the error/failure in startup, and then pressing Done, poof, the container is nowhere to be seen in the WebUI. Same as you, Docker containers are able to be added back.
September 22, 20241 yr Author ive had the server up and running now for over 2 years with zero issues. I rarely go in and edit dockers anymore. These problems started once I upgraded to 6.12.13, or so it seems. I have plenty of space on the array and on my cache drive. Not sure where to even go to start testing this. Its so random that I'm not sure what is happening.
September 23, 20241 yr Solution I don't see anything logged that would explain that, try recreating the docker image, it may not help but it's easy to do and worth a try: https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/manual/docker-management/#re-create-the-docker-image-file Then: https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/manual/docker-management/#re-installing-docker-applications Also see below if you have any custom docker networks: https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/manual/docker-management/#docker-custom-networks
October 1, 20241 yr Author It just happened again. Last night I was watching shows off of Plex. This morning the Plex docker was gone. Reinstalled and Plex was back up and working like it never stopped working. tower-diagnostics-20241001-0527.zip Edited October 1, 20241 yr by T_Matz
October 1, 20241 yr Docker image is already showing corruption, this suggests a hardware issue like bad RAM: Sep 17 16:08:36 Tower kernel: BTRFS info (device loop2): bdev /dev/loop2 errs: wr 0, rd 0, flush 0, corrupt 21, gen 0
October 1, 20241 yr Author I'll run a memory test again, did that 4 months ago and had no issues. If there are no issues again what else should I be testing?
October 1, 20241 yr memtest is only definitive if it finds errors, if you have multiple sticks try using the server with just one, if the same try with a different one, that will basically rule out bad RAM, you should recreate the docker image again before each test.
October 1, 20241 yr Author Im just so confused, this is the 3rd set of RAM, 2nd motherboard, 2nd CPU ive used in unraid in about 2 years and i seem to have constant RAM issues like nonestop. but then i put this exact same equipment in a new build running windows and experience zero issues
October 1, 20241 yr Author I dont know where to even begin figuring this out. I have my appdata split between 2 nvme drives. 1 drive is soley for Plex the other drive is for all other appdata dockers and plugins. Would that cause an issue?
October 1, 20241 yr That should not be a problem, and the docker image itself will only be using one device.
October 2, 20241 yr Author Question about the RAM, I have two sticks or ram with a total of 64 GB. I have a windows VM running blue iris that has a dedicated 12 GB of ram, and then i have plex transcode to RAM. I run binhex-plex-pass and have seen the ram utilization rise as high as 43 GB (and it stays there until i restart the docker) then there is about 4 or 5 used by unraid and the other dockers. Basically to sum it up i have seen my ram utilization rise high at stay around 95% utilization depending on the plex docker use. (not sure how to release the ram back to unraid after the transcode is finished other than restarting the docker). Could this be causing issues? I also notice at times where a single core will be pinged to 100% utilization at times and it is only fixed if i restart a few dockers(deluge mainly). I ran memtest 3 times and it came back with zero issues. booted up into windows (disconnected all the drives and put in a windows drive) stress tested the CPU and GPU and the system was stable.

October 2, 20241 yr Author Ok, ill rebuild the docker image again and see what happens. Not sure where else to go from here. Verified the CPU, GPU, RAM, Power supply. None of my disks have errors. I dont have a way to test the board its self.
