September 25, 20241 yr I know that it is not recommended to attach Hard Drives via USB that are part of the Array. Would it be okay to connect a single pool SSD via USB (10gbps) to use it mainly for the appdata share? I keep getting this entries in my log from time to time with the SSD connected via USB: Quote usb 2-2: reset SuperSpeed Plus Gen 2x1 USB device number 4 using xhci_hcd (Main reason for this idea is obviously because I am out of options attaching drives/ssds internally.)
September 25, 20241 yr Community Expert They are also not generally recommended as pools, but you can test, some USB bridges work fine.
