combining User share

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am transferring all my data from a Windows PC to a new Unraid install.  I have an Emby server that I need to run.  For this I have a two drive plus one parity drive array.  I put all the films on disk one,  all the series on disk two, music on disk two, etc....  Created a user share  for each type of media.

Now I would like to simplify  all the user shares on the array.  I would like to have a Media folder that included all my media files,  but I would like to keep everything where it is, as all the "Films" on disk one, "Series" on disk two, etc...

What is the simplest way to achieve this move?

Thank's

J-P

In fact I whant to have my film, series, etc....   All in the new Media share.   But I whant them to remain in there respective location (disk)

Is there a way to create a "Media" share that include the "Movie" share the "Series" share etc...

Yes, and you can do that if you move the data inside the disk, e.g., move from /mnt/disk1/tv/ to /mnt/disk1/media/tv/

Hi,

When I created the "Media" share it only created a folder in disk 2.   How can I add it in disk 1 without messing everything.

If I use a terminal and create a folder "Media" will it be automatically be use as THE "Media" share?

How can I add the "Media" folder in disk 1?

THank's

Thank's!!

I wasn't sure if by simply create a folder "Media" in disk 1 that it would be consider as the "Media" share previously created...

I test it with dummy files and it worked!!

Thank's
