December 7, 20241 yr I know the outcome will not be good, but during a disk rebuild (disk2) from a failed drive, another drive (disk3)started filling up my log with disk read errors. What are my options? tower-diagnostics-20241207-1441.zip Edited December 7, 20241 yr by jamesk9 attached diagnostics
December 8, 20241 yr Author I'm thinking my only option would be: removing failed disk assignments from array and doing a 'NEW CONFIGURATION', then mount newly unassigned disks (using unassigned disks plugin) and try to move what files I can back to the array? I know it would result in some, if not all, loss of data that was on the two disks.
December 9, 20241 yr Community Expert The syslog is incomplete, reboot and post new diags after array start.

December 11, 20241 yr Community Expert Looks like a power/connection issue with disk3, replace cables for that disk and new diags.
December 11, 20241 yr Author Will try, Its in a 4U case with disk trays, I moved it to a different slot after the 1st batch of read errors. Ill try to hook it straight up to power/sata outside of the tray.
