Processor options

Featured Replies

Hi all,

After a bit of advice what processor will be best:

Xeon E5-1620V3 3.5 GHz

Ryzen 5 2400G

Intel core i5 7500

Plans is to start with:

2 X 8TB drives for storage expanding to 8x8TB drives as and when ( loosk like unraid can just expand storage)

1X hot spoare

1x 1TB SSD (CACHE)

min 32GB ram

4GB K200 nvida graphics card for transcoding

will be running plex/file storage/*arr stack/Windows deployment server in a VM/a few docker images.

Any help/advice would be great

Thanks

So is it best to stick to the Xeon?

No stability issues on my AMD 5600x on x570-d4u. So as a blanket statement, no. Among the choices you've provided, unsure. Plenty of folks run consumer Intel or AMD. It all looks like older hardware, any reason?
