NFS remotes disconnecting

Featured Replies

I have 2 Unraid servers: Server 1 is a FileServer & Server 2 is an AppServer

Everything is working good, but there's been a couple of times where the AppServer loses connection with the FileServer shares. A quick unmount/mount in the AppServer resolves this. So, my question is - is there an EASY way to monitor the NFS connections and if it drops out, it will trigger an unmount/mount?

Are you using UD to mount the remote NFS shares?

Yes, UD, with the Automount option selected.

When it happens, UD shows the shares as mounted, but if you try to browse them, a "not available" message is in the file browser.

Also, the AppServer is v7.rc.1

Post Unraid diagnostics and go to a command line and enter 'ud_diagnostics' then post the /flash/logs/ud_diagnostics.zip file.

Will do as soon as I get home.

Try by fixing these problems:

Where do I fix those problems? Docker or UD?

Read/Write (this one is pretty obvious I guess)

RW/Slave

RW/Shared

RO/Slave

RO/Shared

I'm assuming that I need to use RW/Slave, but where in the container do I set this?

NVM - found the setting

Ran 'Fix Common Problems' again and it looks clear now.

Fingers crossed

So far, so good. If it's still running correctly tomorrow morning, I'll mark your fix as the solution. I appreciate the help.
