December 20, 20241 yr Good afternoon, I sincerely hope someone can help. I have just locked myself out of my Bitwarden account and so I have lost access to my passwords and 2FA. I am still logged into my email app however if that helps. Don't worry, I'll be beating myself up for a long time regarding this. As I no longer have access to Bitwarden, I do not have my array encryption password. I am logged in to my server however and the array is running and so is there anyway I can disable my password or change it without losing everything? If this is not possible, what would anyone suggest to be the easiest way for me to maybe backup and start over, however I would very much like to avoid that if possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm frantically trying to salvage as much as I can as I have been using unraid for several years now but I've never had a massive issue like this (completely my own fault). My media can always be replaced, but my overall setup of my server along with all my dockers/configs/mappings would be an absolute nightmare to start over. Any help or guidance would be massively appreciated. Kind regards. Edited December 20, 20241 yr by unraid888
December 20, 20241 yr Community Expert Solution AFAIK there is no way to change it if you don't know the old one, with a keyfile it would be a different situation. But since Unraid only asks for the pass after a reboot, not after an array start, at least in current versions, one thing you may be able to do, if you have enough space to clear your largest disk by moving its data to the other array disks, or elsewhere, is to empty it, stop the array, reformat that disk, without encryption for now, since you cannot have two different passwords, then move the data from another disk to that one, rinse and repeats until all disks are done, you could then do it again with a new passphrase if you want to keep them encrypted.

Hi, That's an excellent idea, thank you so much for taking the time to reply, it is very much appreciated. Fortunately I have space on my server to move things around (currently using about 1/4 of my total space) so I will do exactly as you have suggested. Many thanks. p.s. just installed unbalanced and running that now. 👍 Edited December 20, 20241 yr by unraid888
