January 5, 20251 yr I recently had an issue where mover wasn't working due to a bad version of Mover Tuning. Once I removed the version mover started working fine but Docker started having some issues and after stopping and starting docker I get a message the "Docker Service failed to start." message. I'm pretty new to Unraid and have looked around on the forum for similar issues but haven't been able to find an exact match. Thanks in advance. tower-diagnostics-20250105-1120.zip
January 5, 20251 yr Community Expert Solution Your appdata and system shares have files on the array. Not exactly the cause of your problem, but might as well fix these as well since you need to disable Docker anyway. Nothing can move open files, so you have to disable Docker and VM Manager in Settings so these shares can be moved. Leave them disabled unti move is complete. In fact, leave Docker disabled until the rest of the fix below. You can invoke Mover from Main - Array Operations page. You can check that appdata and system no longer have files on the array by clicking Compute... for these on the User Shares page. Finally, the actual cause of your problem, corrupt docker.img You will have to delete and recreate docker.img https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/manual/docker-management/#re-create-the-docker-image-file Then reinstall your containers from Previous Apps. https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/manual/docker-management/#re-installing-docker-applications
January 6, 20251 yr Author @trurl Thanks for the reply. I was deep in fixing the issue when I just went ahead and deleted the docker image and started over. This worked but I ran into some other issues with corrupt Postgres containers. Ended up using backups to fix the problem It's great having a community of people that can actually help point you in the right direction! Thanks for the guidance!
