Running version 6.12.14

I had Unraid running about 10 years ago but the MB died.

I've built a new server and copied all the data from the old unraid drives to an external hdd.
What is the best way to copy the data from the external hdd to the unraid storage array?

TLDR;
How can I copy data from an external hdd to the unraid storage?
I know how to mount the external drive but am unsure if there is a specific way data should be copied to the unraid storage.
