Issues bringing server online after power outage - PROBLEM SOLVED

Featured Replies

Just setting up a new UNDRAID server and have an "issue" after power outage. My PC starts up when the power is back. Unraid is loaded OK but it does not bring the server online. I have to log into it and press the START button at the MAIN page in order to bring it online (and start parity check).

What do I need to do to get this happening automatically i.e. so I do not need to log into the server after power outage and manually press the START button. What I want it to do is to start up after power outage without any help from me and we can access the data normally.

Cannot find any obvious settings in UNRAID to change, that seems to be related to this.

You are likely to get better informed feedback if you attach your system’s diagnostics zip file to your next post in this thread. It is always a good idea when asking questions to supply your diagnostics so we can see details of your system, how you have things configured, and the current syslog.

Sorry for the missing info. Adding it tonight.

Hereby the diagnostic files. I have a second UNRAID server and that brings the server online by itself when it is being booted from power outage but cannot figure why this new server will not do the same. Any help is highly appreciated.

Looking at the diagnostics I can see you have not set the array to autostart under Settings->Disk Settings.

You must have done that at some point on the other server and forgotten about doing it :)

Cannot tell you how stupid I feel. Had compared every setup page, line by line between the two servers to "make sure" they were as identical as possible ..... but my QAQC failed badly and then item is only the first line on that particular page .... anyway ..

Thx a million for you super fast reply. I so happy.
