LXC Plugin - Container Templates / Helper-Scripts

Featured Replies

I’ve Been captivated by the simplicity of PVE helper scripts aka community scripts https://community-scripts.github.io/ProxmoxVE/scripts.

Would it be possible to bring this functionality to the LXC plugin? I lack the ability to contribute to such a project but suspect the community would benefit greatly from the integration. I rely on the LXC plugin and appreciate the work and effort of @ich777.

Thank you

Sadly these scripts can't be ported over since these are Proxmox specific, however I already have a few pre made containers that are basically functioning almost the same:

You can find them here:

https://github.com/ich777?tab=repositories&q=lxc_&type=&language=&sort=

They are not in the CA App but it is planned and there are also maintainers out there which have such containers.

To install them you have to do a few steps which are shown here:

https://github.com/ich777/unraid_lxc_pihole?tab=readme-ov-file#step-1-install-container-archive

What you would basically do is grab the RAW lxc_container_template.xml from GitHub and place it into /tmp after that you visit: http://<SERVER_IP>/LXCAddTemplate and deploy the container.

Sorry that I don't have any better news for now but I hope that helps a bit.

Please also don't forget there is the Backup option in Unraid that you could use to save your containers for later if you mess a container up.

You're an angel. I'll check out your GH and give this stuff a shot. For piece of mind i have a small testing server for stuff like this. No more straight to production for me.

Thanks again. I appreciate the work you've contributed.
