January 27, 20251 yr Hi UNRAID team, Good morning. I have a 1u server attach with 2 x 4u 60 bay JBODs. The total raw capacity is 20TB*120 ~ 2.4PB. My questions are as below: 1. Any limitation for UNRAID to implement 20TB*120 ~ 2.4PB? If yes, can you elaborate it? 2. Please suggest how to do the disk sizing by using UNRAID. Many Thanks!
January 27, 20251 yr Community Expert A couple of points from someone with a similar level of storage: You'll need to make sure you are on a tier of Unraid licence that supports unlimited devices. User interface is not great at assigning massive amounts of storage, I would suggest planning your pools/arrays and only inserting disks as you are assigning to a pool/array. Goes without saying, one single storage pool is not a good idea Storage layout depends a lot on your use case Most likely you'll be looking at ZFS pooling configurations, or waiting for Limetech to introduce multi-array configurations (like the rest of us 😅)
