Drives connected to HBA not detected

I applied a BIOS update to my motherboard as one item it listed was "Enhanced system performance, stability".  However, since doing this, any drive connected to my cross-flashed Dell H310 is not showing as usable.  Logs are showing "device /dev/sdl problem getting id".

    And the update disabled CSM mode, which my cross-flashed H310 needs.  Finally working again.
