February 25, 20251 yr Hi all, I just wanted to say thank you to the UNRAID developers and to Lime Technology. I have been using UNRAID on my DIY NAS for the full 2 months trial, and I have decided to activate my starter license. At first I was a bit skeptical about UNRAID. The fact that most of the advanced features come as plugins or containers felt like it was an empty shell. I was like "Is this it?". But with time I learned to appreciate the flexibility and modularity of the approach. It took me a bit of time to build and customize my install to meet all my needs, and now I have reached the point where everthing works smoothly. I just wish there was a cheaper option for the lifetime license. Maybe Lime Technology could introduce a "familiy edition" limited to 6 storage devices and 5-10 users, or limit the availability of updates to the current major release (i.e. would be entitled to all 7.x.x updates and not 8.x.x) and price it somewhere between the Unleashed and the lifetime licenses.
