April 24, 201214 yr Finished building my new Unraid server, and had a hard time getting it to work properly. Had a lot of trouble with my 3tb disks connected to my 2xSASLP-MV8. Server freeze, lot of errors reading, not able to do a parity sync without crash, etc. etc. I believe that ver. b14a is still having a lot of issues with the SASLP-MV8 controller cards. I connected my 5x3tb to the main board instead and did a parity sync. Now I'm getting read errors on my second disk. My question is....should I worry? Should I move the data from disk 2 to a all new disk, do a pre clear on disk 2 to verify its safe to use? Tia/Lappen syslog_230412.txt
April 24, 201214 yr Replace disk 2 with a pre-cleared disk and let it rebuild then run pre-clear on the current disk 2. There are a lot of duplicate files on the system. Enable disk shares and remove the duplicates.
