Manage server URLs do not connect remotely

Featured Replies

Running Unraid 7.0.1 on my server.  I am new to Unraid Connect.  I installed the app, made management access settings as recommended on the documentation, and provisioned an Unraid Let's Encrypt certificate.  I can access the Unraid Connect Dashboard remotely, and my server is shown as being online.  The problem that I am having is that clicking on any of the URLs listed under "Manage Server" fail to connect and time out.  When on my local network, the URLs do connect.  Any suggestions on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated!

Additional management access settings, in case they are helpful:

  • Use UPnP: Yes
  • Use SSL/TLS: Yes
  • Allow Remote Access: ALWAYS
  • Remote Access Forward Type: UPNP

Thanks!

Also having this issue at the moment, seems to not be holding any setting.

I have UPNP disabled because well.....

But setting to ALWAYS and STATIC which USED to work (pre 7.0, even updated to 7.0.1) says that it saves but a refresh of the page drops the settings.

Setting it to Dynamic and the same does the same thing.

I am unable to access remotely at all. Updated to the latest version of connect plugin to make sure but still no luck.

@Arcau interesting. one possibility is that the settings aren't persisting. the config file is at `/boot/config/plugins/dynamix.my.servers/myservers.cfg` -- could you check whether the file changes when you update your settings (or log in/out of Connect)?

i'm basically just trying to figure out/rule out whether your flash drive is dying.

So I am having the exact issues on 2 different servers.

I am apparently unable to sign out of connect either i have to fully remove the plugin.

When reinstalling it then says it succeeds in loging back in but when refreshing fails again.

It is weird that it is happening on 2 servers at the same time - 1 is old and was working fine - 1 is only about 1 month old with brand new drive

It adds the info into the cfg file - username email and port number - but cfg still shows as disabled when GUI shows as Always UPNP.

I do not have a spare USB on hand that I can use atm so will have to buy another one (unraid doesnt like sandisk now?)

When attempting to manually edit anything in the cfg file (from the unraid file explorer)  it will then drop all other settings from the cfg file and I have to sign back into connect.

Editing it directly from file share also causes it to drop all settings and require sign in again.

I was able to get my remote access working by manually forwarding ports for my servers in my router.  Since doing so, wanted to change to STATIC access.  Just as Arcau is experiencing, changing the settings to STATIC and DYNAMIC appears to work, but upon refresh settings return to ALWAYS and UPNP.  This is happening on both of my servers, both with brand new flash drives.
