April 24, 20251 yr Hi all. Everytime i restart my server all my VMs are gone. Im having some trouble getting around the hole VM thing. But i have a backup of the libvirt "image" I tryed to upload it into /mnt/user/system/libvirt/libvirt.img and point at it in the VMs setting menu. find /mnt -name libvirt.img gives me root@Kratos:~# find /mnt -name libvirt.img /mnt/user/system/libvirt/libvirt.img /mnt/user0/system/libvirt/libvirt.img /mnt/cache/system/libvirt/libvirt.img /mnt/disk3/system/libvirt/libvirt.img /mnt/disks/Backup_external/libvirt_backup/libvirt.img But the VMs are still gone? Any good ideas? Thanks! kratos-diagnostics-20250424-1551.zip Edited April 24, 20251 yr by DanielPT Diagnostic
April 24, 20251 yr Author Ah okay. I found the "Correct" backuo. Now i got my VMs back. But how can i prevent it from disapering after reboot? Thanks!
April 24, 20251 yr If you are using /mnt/cache and the pool is still there after a reboot, the VMs should also be.

April 26, 20251 yr Author Now i got this root@Kratos:~# find /mnt -name libvirt.img /mnt/user/system/libvirt/libvirt.img /mnt/cache/system/libvirt/libvirt.img /mnt/disks/Backup_external/libvirt_backup/libvirt.img
April 26, 20251 yr If that is the image you are using, add a new VM, reboot, and if the VM no longer shows up, post new diags.

April 27, 20251 yr Yes, just to make sure, you don't need to actually install an ISO, just add a Windows 10 VM for example, use all default settings and click create (disable start VM)
