May 16, 20251 yr Attempted to add more HDDs using a 6pin to 4 SATA power cable. Unfortunately this cable was off-brand and had a different pinout to Seasonic causing my PSU to not power on. After troubleshooting & many boot attempts it's fixed but two HDDs are unreachable. I've been swapping data & power cables around to rule those elements out. Maybe an awesome person could take a gander at my diagnostic. Trouble happened while it was powered down (so I assume this will just confirm it cannot see the two missing drives?) crower-diagnostics-20250516-2045.zip
May 16, 20251 yr Community Expert Modular PSUs have no standard pinout. Many people have fried disks by using cables not provided with their modular PSU. Can you see the disks in BIOS?
May 16, 20251 yr Author Good call, I cannot see them in BIOS. Swapped a spare drive in to see if BIOS detects spare & success. Seems I need to replace the two dead HDDs and attempt rebuild. I have two parity drives so wish me luck. I only own Seasonic PSUs so I don't even know where this weird cable came from.
