June 20, 20251 yr Eeek! Something not good. Lost a drive "unmountable: wrong or no file system".Is there a way to do a disk check in xfs? Okay. Found this via: https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/manual/storage-management/#repairing-a-file-systemNow seeing what that leads too...What happened....Building a new server. Not yet enabled Parity drive.Four xfs drives in place.Ran a script to enable urBackup (link). Tested backup of a couple of files.Shutdown server to swap a UPS battery.During shutdown it stalled for ages... odd I thought... then spotted the Terminal Window open and shut it.Server shut down.Swapped battery.During bootup pulled wrong power lead out and killed server at start.Plugged in leads agin... started array. Now have "disk 2 - unmountable: wrong or no file system"Is there a way to run a disk check? Or should I give up now and rebuild the disk from my backups?I am reading this "unclead shutdown" and spotted the issue with leaving a terminal window open. Maybe that broke it. Or the urBackup script. Or the plug swap at bootup. tryint to read other items in this thread is tricky as so many links point into help files that have now been re-written.I may just move this post to a new thread as maybe not an "unclean shutdown", but first question is really - is there any point at attempting to recover the disk as it stands? Or just give up and format?Log files - no idea. Can't see anydiagnostics zip on the USB and I had not enabled syslog. Now going to attempt a fix, so opened a thread in case of advice incoming. June 20, 20251 yr Author Solution Okay - fixed by clicking buttons here:Storage Management | Unraid DocsStorage Management | Unraid DocsTo assign devices toMounted Array in maintence mode. Selected the sick disk. Hit the scan buttons and just blindly followed. It zeroed a log and was then happy.Phew. Nice that happened now while I still had backups on my desk.
