July 8, 2025Jul 8 A few months ago, I had a USB drive die on me. Before that, it ran for months without issue. I replaced it, restored from a backup. It ran once, then failed. Erased the key, copied over the config, had the GUID transferred (even though it was the same key). Ran until an update, then reboot and it failed. Repaired the USB with windows using the repair utility, ran until the next update and it died again. Switched USB ports to another USB 2.0 port and it ran until the next update and its now dead ....again.I tried switching to every port available; internal, front, back, 2.0, 3.0. I tried to check it in windows, no issues. Ran make bootable again, no resolve. Any ideas from here? I'm using a Samsung FIT per previous guidance found on the forum. I've attached a screenshot of boot, not sure if it helps. On a side note, I'm burnt and frustrated with the whole USB process. Sorry if any of this comes off as agitated.
