Unraid will not start up after aborted usb manager plugin update

Featured Replies

I was in the middle of updating the USB Manger plugin and I waited for a while before I started to wonder if it was stuck. I aborted the process and soon the GUI because inaccessible with a 500 error. I rebooted and lost the ability to reach the GUI. The console shows the boot process gets to a point where it checks /dev/sdb1 and fails to get past that.

Is my usb drive bad now?

Try recreating the flash drive, first backup the current one, then recreate it using the USB tool, confirm the flash drive boots with the stock install, and if yes, restore only the /config folder from the backup overwriting any existing files.

I ended up restoring from an old backup to a new USB drive.
