Unable to install Docker applications after Cache failure

Featured Replies

So I've run into a weird issue that I've been unable to figure out.

Over the weekend my Cache pool experienced a drive failure. I had two 1tb ssds in a Raid 1 config so I wasn't concerned. When I had the chance I replaced the faulty drive but the cache didn't rebuild properly and I lost a bunch of data that wasn't recently backed up. My fault for not running more regular backups.
That isn't the issue however.

After the screwiness with the cache pool I removed the old cache and added a new one. Now I seem to be unable to reinstall about half of the dockers I had running. Some will install properly but others simply do not work.
The container will install if added from the app store or from an existing template, but no data is placed on the cache and the containers will not start as there is no data in the application directory. I'm at an absolute loss as to what is going on and I can't figure out next steps to resolve the issue.

As you can see in the screenshots below, the container will update properly, shows up in the docker tab, but will not run and there is no file in the appdata directory where it should be storing things.

Honestly I'm at a loss.

Appreciate any help. I'm sure its something I've overlooked and I'll feel stupid for missing it.

No obvious errors, but are you updating or installing the container? According to that screenshot nothing was downloaded.

In that particular case I just updated, but when I've removed the container and redownloaded the same thing happens.

Does it also show 0 bytes pulled?

It pulls down the files. But nothing seems to get written to disk anywhere that I can find

It looks like the Appdata directory was storing some data on Disk 7 of the Array (likely when the drive failed and I was trying to rebuild the cache pool) but there doesn't seem to be any new files written there either

Yes, I saw that. That should not be the issue, but I still recommend sorting them by moving them to the pool or deleting them, depending if the files are of use.

Well I can definitely do that
Maybe that will make a difference.

Edit. Deleted the files from Disk 7, deleted the docker and removed the image. Tried another reinstall.
No change.

At this point would it make sense to just blow the cache pool away and start fresh?

It may be worth a try
