August 7, 2025Aug 7 I wanted to expand my array further by adding a new disk (currently 12 plus parity), when I add the new disk and boot up, I have a massively extended boot time. When finally into Unraid there isn't a slot for the new disk, but it does show up as an option for Parity 2. Overall, the array doesn't work normally, I can click start the array but nothing happens, when I click shutdown I get the message saying shutting down with the time count but the array never actually shuts down. If I remove the new disk, all returns to normal.I experimented removing an older smaller disk, and could rebuild using the newer bigger disk no problem. When I add back in the old disk, same behaviour. Diagnostics attached. tower-diagnostics-20250807-1958.zip
