2x ASM1166 dropping out (NVME and PCI)

I had 1 pci and 1 nvme to asm1166 6 satas for 12 ports. The NVME would drop out at random after a restart, it would need removing, reinstalling and it would come back.

Swapped the nvme for another pci version, was working ok, restarted and they both dropped out. Turned it off, unplugged, plugged them back in and they come back.

Has anyone come across this issue before?
