Restored from Flash backup

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone I had some issues with my USB key and was lucky enough to have enabled Flash backup in Unraid Connect. I have downloaded the backup, copied to a new USB key with the Media creation tool and managed to get unraid running again (Running it as a VM on Proxmox).

A few questions to start with;

Should by users be restored as well ? I can't see any users besides for Root

I had a pool of 4 NVME drives and these show up as unassigned now, can I simply create a new pool or will this format my drives?

It's important I don't lose the data on my drives.

Thanks for your responses

You should be able to reimport it, create a new pool with 4 slots, assign the devices, leave the filesystem set to auto, start the array, if the pool doesn't mount post the diagnostics.

Thanks, I have created a new pool and all my shares are still there. had to be 100% sure before doing this. And for the users I have simply recreated them so all solved.
