dhcplog.txtsyslog.txt

Greetings All,

After several power outages and ISP going down for 5 hours seems my sever wont let me log in. When restarting I am no longer able to log in. I have done the below items to no avail. Any help would be appreciated. DHCP + Syslog are attached.

  • Restart Server - shutdown and log back in - Nothing

  • Reset Password - When doing this I didn't get a prompt for inputting a new one so now no password

  • cleared network.config file - This worked to have my unify setup auto assign the correct IP address but does not connect

Can you login if you boot into GUI mode?

Just able to get into GUI mode by making this the default.

Under Fix Common Problems. shows the "Unable to communicate with GitHub.com" Looking at my settings see the below items

  • IPv4 DNS assignment is set to automatic.

  • IPv4 address IS my usual server address I use

  • IPv4 default gateway is my Unify device (Dreammachine pro)

  • DNS shows up as 100.100.100.100

    • When I try to change to the instructed 8.8.8.8 or 4.4.4.4 machine freezes and have to reboot.

    • restarted the modem and same issue

Seems Tailscale was causing the issue so deleted for now and working as intended
