Virtual-dsm Docker - Unable to mount CIFS share to Unraid Share

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Firstly I tried to raise this topic in the docker support section but don't seem to be able to, so sorry if this is posted in the wrong section!

Feel like I've exhausted all of my knowledge on trying to get Xpenology to mount a CIFS share, which is shared on my unraid server.

When trying to mount the CIFS share

It will eventually time out with the below message

The logs on the virtual-dsm docker show a CIFS VFS: cifs_mount failed w/return code = -113

The share on unraid is a public share but I have setup a user account on unraid and the credentials are being entered in correctly on the CIFS window in Xpenology. If I try mounting the Photo share on a windows machine it works fine.

I've tried various options under SMB advanced settings to lower the SMB version minimum requirement, and played around with some other options but to no avail.

I also tried mounting the shares under unassigned devices on unraid , both with NFS and CIFS but still unable to connect.

The main aim was for me to be able to use the mobile apps like DS File.

Any help would be great. Thanks
