October 11, 2025Oct 11 Please help!I have recently landed a RTX PRO 6000, got it installed and passed through to a windows machine. Have open drivers in unraid but bound to vfio so not being handled by unraid. I can install the studio drivers in windows and get the card recognised, run benchmarks etc.. My problem: For the life of me I cannot get the card to draw more than 250w, feels like something is holding it back. In contrast, I have a 5090, this works just fine, pulling 550-575 watts so I know the PCIe slot and power supply are good.Has anyone experience with this card and can you help with some suggestions on what I need to do..Just let me know what more information you need to help.
October 20, 2025Oct 20 Author Solution I have finally got to the root cause. The MB was the culprit as I think over the hrs I never supported the GPUs it had warped the board. So, if you have any decent GPUs keep them supported it's an expensive mistake not doing that

This has reinforced my decision to justify the extra expense of a PCIe Gen 5 riser cable to use the vertical GPU slots on my case instead of using a GPU support (would have needed to purchase a longer support for my fractal Design Define 7 XL anyway).
