Lowering Split Level

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I made a small error when I set up my server.  I was messing around with how I wanted my shares organized.  Thought I had it figured out and set all my split levels.  The wife said she didn't like it and wanted it a different way.  As luck would have it that made everything one level less and I forgot to change the split levels.

I have since fixed my split level problem but now have lots of media split from it's meta data.  i.e. the movie is on disk1 but the meta data is on disk2.  Is there an easy way to get it all together?

Barring an easy way will unRaid get grumpy if I just manually move things to where they should be?

If it matters I have:

1 cache

1 parity

4 data

All 3Tb

Running 5.0rc3

Thanks for the help.

Unraid does not care where you put it. Move it to where you need it and delete the unnecessary directories you no longer need due to the reduced split level.

I LOVE that it works like that... So easy to move stuff around without anything getting "confused".. thanks Tom :-)

It might be easiest to just just search through each data disk and delete every metadata only directory and then re-create the data.
