November 13, 2025Nov 13 Hi team,Currently, I am using OMV7 with SnapRaid + Megerfs. I got 5x1TB drives, 1 as parity and 4 as data. OMV7 is hosted on proxmox 9. As I wanted to try unraid, I took trial of it. When I booted unraid VM with 3 drives (from OMV7 and OMV7 being shut down), it did not recognize them. I have 7.2.1-rc versions of unraid. My plan is to grab an unleased license in upcoming sale. Before that I wanted to check if unraid suits my needs.Thank you

November 13, 2025Nov 13 Author No, I was using it with SnapRaid + Mergerfs. Also, same disk works fine with OMV7, I checked again.
November 13, 2025Nov 13 Community Expert Probably OMV creates the filesystems with quota support metadata (quota feature flag); I'll check with LT to see if they can enable those kernel options for the next release.
November 14, 2025Nov 14 Community Expert LT will look into this for 7.3. Enabling this now for 7.2.1 could have some unforeseen side effects, so they prefer having some proper beta testing after enabling that option, last info I have is that the first 7.3-beta is expected to be out in one or two months, so please try again when that release is out, I will also post an update in the thread if that option is enabled there.
