December 1, 2025Dec 1 Okay so i'm pretty new to Unraid and home server in general. I'm currently on Unraid 7.2.0 and a couple of times, i've experience the docker crashing whether it be me adding media to my Jellyfin folder or just running appdata backup.Context on the appdata backup, i scheduled a backup around 3am to backup my containers/appdata. When i woke up, i checked and all my containers are in question marks and i had to stop my array and reboot my server. Some other times, when the docker crashed, when i try stopping the array, it's either mnt/cache or disk1 is busy so i need to "lazy unmount" those disks in the terminal before a restart can happen.Earlier I rebuilt the docker image, everything seems fine, i went to watch a random media on my jellyfin container, then it randomly crashed again. Went to check logs, got curious with syslog and after i clicked it the server just hung up on me. I had to do an unclean shutdown just to access the server again.Question/s is/are:Would this be a hardware or software issue?Logs wise, where do i check for it whenever a crash happens again? will be useful in case this happens again and i'll add it here or to a new post.Specs are as follows: Intel i5-12400 on an Asus TUF GAMING B660M-PLUS D4 2x8gb RAM, XMP is off 3 ironwolf drives 8tb each (1 is for thhe parity drive), 1 refurbished WD Ultrastar 8TBCache Drive: Lexar NM610 1TB (saving up to buy one more to do a mirror).Current Containers:jellyfin, Home Assistant, qqbittorrentvpn, handbrake and piholeParity check is running right now and will do a memtest86 as well after the parity check.
