VM Status not refreshing

I use a couple of VM's to do things like clone drives and repair systems... For various reasons the VM's need to shut down after each job so that I can swap out NVME drives from the reader to start the next one.

It occurs to me that if the VM is shut down from within the status of the VM on the Dashboard or the VM page does not reflect the current state until you hit refresh on the browser.

Is there a reason it doesn't keep up to the status?
