December 21, 2025Dec 21 Need to replace my cache drives and tried moving all shares from cache drive to the array, but the mover did not do anything.Using terminalmover: startedgrep: /boot/config/share.cfg: No such file or directorymover: finishedNavigating to that location shows a directory /boot/config/share/... with all the share configurations. Is there supposed to be a config file here or am I missing something?/mnt/user# lsDownloads/RandomBackup/USB_Backup/domains/system/LAN-Store/Media-Pictures/NAS/Photos_Immich/System_Backup/appdata/isos/
December 21, 2025Dec 21 Community Expert Solution There should be a file '/boot/config/share.cfg'.Try going to Settings->Global Share settings and check there that the values there are what you want. If necessary make a dummy change and then hit Apply and the required file should be generated. If things still do not work you are likely to get more informed feedback if you attach your system's diagnostics zip file to your next post in this thread and mention a share you expect to be moved that is not being moved. It is always a good idea to supply diagnostics to allow us to see the current state of your system and so we can see logs.
December 21, 2025Dec 21 Author Ahh, thank you. Changing the Settings -> Global Share settings created the share.cfg. For anyone else, after this was created I had turn off the array to change the Global Share settings. Going back to my mover to clear the cache -> it not started but finished immediately. This was because the shares were all set to array because I was previously trying to force Unraid to clear the cache so it could be replaced. I changed all the shares back to cache primary and array secondary, which then created the instruction to use the mover to move those shares off the cache. Then I ran the mover successfully and cleared the cache.
