Hytale Server Manager

Featured Replies

Good day,

I am looking to add the hytale server manager as a community app. I am the developer of it. I am not sure what to post on here, as the guide just said to do so.

Git repo: https://github.com/nebula-codes/hytale_server_manager

XML File: https://github.com/nebula-codes/hytale_server_manager/blob/main/unraid/hytale-server-manager.xml

Container location: https://github.com/nebula-codes/hytale_server_manager/pkgs/container/hytale-server-manager

This might be what you're looking for. I might have to give it a try once it's up as the only other Hytale server template out right now is usable, but configured incorrectly. The game has been tons of fun!

I wrote the XML directly. But when applying to add the app to the unraid community app, it said to also make a post in the support forum, but I am not sure why tbh. Is the XML I made incorrect?

And yeah, it would be the only, because I, so far, am the only one that I am aware of that made a dedicated manager for hytale. Other managers are managers for any game, but less specialized for Hytale, like the mod management.

Edit: Followign the guide you linked now

Remade the template by following the guide, much better!

Got it in a working state! People will just need to add the port of their game servers!

When running directly from the container, I have had to set insecure cookies, but thats fine, if you want SSL just use a proxy

I've gotten it running the same way, except having a similar problem as issue #11 on the github where I cannot download server files with error code 1. Also wondering if theres a way to import a server?

See, thats the thing, for now, it downloads server files, and caches that version for reuse, but I do not have a way to import yet, no.

This would be useful, but what would be even more useful, is understanding what is causing this issue, because I have not been able to replicate. I tried W11, linux, docker, unraid, they all work so far.

How can the docker work for someone, but not someone else? That is like, the whole point of it being in a container x)

Just fixed missing jre25 for starting server though lol

Hey, should i be able to find this in the apps list on unraid because it's not visible.

I've only got the dedicated server showing

so I tried this out with a custom docker container and I can get it running but every time I login it immediately expires my session and I can't change any settings.

Stuck trying to download server files
Download failed with exit code 1

Error in logs

]: [HytaleDownloader] Download process exited with code: 1, signal: null

]: [HytaleDownloader WS] Forwarding download:error event:

EDIT: Got it working but only when docker is using br0 and it's own IP for the network, bridge, host, and custom docker networks wouldn't work.

Did you set INSECURE_COOKIES=true if you are connecting via http?

I did but it is resetting itself when the container restarts. might be because I imported the xml you linked in the original post. I'm able to get into the interface now but having trouble starting a server. Is there an eta when this will be released to unraid apps?

Installing from community apps seems to be installing an old version, 0.2.12. Check for updates seems to not be functional, added the repo in config.json and still unable to find the latest version

This error occurred when you try to download the serverfiles without having bought a copy of hytale. When you own a copy of Hytale you can download the serverfiles.

To join a created server you have to authenticate the server first with /auth login device in the serverconsole.

Now I got everything up and running and it works but I want to access the panel from the outside of my network. I’ve setup an proxy host with nginx and duckdns but when i try to open the address i got error 503 in the browser.

I added INSECURE_LOGIN variable in app settings and set it to true, and now after creating admin account I get session expired message, and on second login attempt my password is not accepted at all. Any way to fix?

  • 1 month later...

The insecure login did fix for me.
