binhex-prowlarr / Issues with YTS Indexer - Error Parsing JSON Response (Fixed Dropdown List)

Featured Replies

Hello Team,

I am running Prowlarr (version: [2.3.0.5236]) on Unraid. I am facing a persistent issue with the YTS Indexer.

Problem Description: I keep getting the error: Unable to connect to indexer. Error Parsing Json Response.

Environment & Troubleshooting done:

  1. I have FlareSolverr (v3.4.6) correctly configured and linked via Tags.

  2. Other indexers like 1337x are working perfectly with the FlareSolverr proxy.

  3. The YTS indexer settings in my Prowlarr instance only show a fixed dropdown list of Base URLs (like .st, .bz, .li), and I cannot manually input a custom URL (e.g., https://yts.mx/).

  4. I have tried all URLs in the dropdown, but all of them return the same JSON parsing error, even with the FlareSolverr tag applied.

  5. I suspect the pre-defined definitions for YTS are outdated or the domains are blocked/dead.

My Questions:

  • Is there a way to force a custom URL for the YTS indexer when the dropdown is locked?

  • How can I manually update the YTS indexer definition file in Unraid's appdata to include the working https://yts.mx/ domain?

Best bet is to look for the relevant support thread:
