The usage of pool devices is continuously increasing

Featured Replies

The system has installed a Pool Device for btrfs, but the usage displayed on the system UI is inconsistent with the shell command detection, as shown in the figure. The system shows a lot more and keeps increasing (1-2G per day), but in reality, there isn't that much writing.截图 2026-04-15 09-25-14.png微信图片_20260415093629.png

May I ask, what caused the inconsistency and which one is correct?

du is not reliable with btrfs, you can check the actual stats with:

btrfs fi usage -T /mnt/nvme2_cache

Note that vdisk type files can keep using more and more actual space if not being trimmed:

The issue has been resolved.
