April 16Apr 16 Community Expert I recently installed a fresh 7.2.4 instance and am trying to get my USB Ethernet adapters (2x AX88279) to bond with my switch. However, they don't get recognized automatically so I need to modprobe the cdc_ncm drivers in the go file. Unfortunately I can't get the LACP up after that.Switch supports LACP. Anyone have any experience? I tried RTL8156B's but those have even worse drivers.By the way, network-rules seems to disappear every reboot. Don't know whyEdit: it seems the fact that the onboard nic comes up way before the ASIX means it allocates eth0 for itself, thereby forcing me to move the adapters to 1 and 2. Even if i change the BONDNICS in the cfg to 1 and 2, it somehow still clings to eth0 Edited April 16Apr 16 by magikfly
April 16Apr 16 Community Expert Do yourself a favor and pass on bonding. It has near zero real world benefits and is known to cause confusion. Install an Intel pciex nic that supports the bandwidth you are aiming for.Try to avoid USB nics. They can be helpful in a pinch as a temporary solution but they do not play well with unraid.

Now I managed to get CDC_NCM to work properly. We'll see how stable these are. Either way, I reverted back to active failover. Not really in the mood to figure out how to make these bond.
