/mnt/user drops offline "Transport endpoint is not connected" & Shares missing

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I'm running into a critical issue with my Unraid server. The array starts up fine, but after running normally for a while, the user share system seems to crash.

When this happens, the "Shares" tab in the WebGUI goes completely blank, and all of my network shares become inaccessible.

Symptoms:

  • The array remains started, but user shares drop out unexpectedly after some uptime.

  • Terminal confirms /mnt/user is inaccessible with the "Transport endpoint is not connected" error.

  • The "Shares" page in the WebGUI is completely empty.

  • Docker container not starting

There appears to be a container constantly restarting; see if you can find which one it is by looking at their uptimes. Then reboot to clear the logs and post new diags if it still happens.

Here is a log after a restart and with a docker container that gave problems. I only used containers that never restarted on their own.

Do you get the problem with Docker disabled? I'm not seeing any shfs erros on the latest diags, only samba errors.

I restarted the server, when I restarted I completely disabled docker. I have to see in a few hours if the problem appears again.
