Use the eth0 or vlan0 network for the VMs in the event of an eth0 outage.

Featured Replies

Hello everyone.

It’s all in the subject line: I want to use either the eth0 or vlan0 network for my VMs, specifically to handle situations where there is a problem with eth0.

I’m not sure how to configure Unraid for this scenario.

I was thinking of using "bridge" mode for both interfaces, but I can't figure out how to set that up.

To summarize:

By default, I use eth0 for everything in Unraid.

If eth0 loses its internet connection, I want to automatically switch to wlan0, which is connected to the internet.

I want this switch to be seamless for the VMs (Windows).

wlan0 is used only as a backup for internet access.

I’d appreciate some guidance on this, as I’m a bit lost...

Thanks !
