Saturday at 05:56 AM2 days Had 2 months uptime on 7.3.2 and did the update to 7.3.3 last night before bed time. Woke up this morning and saw notifications that the server had rebooted 6 times since last night AMD Ryzen 5G system (built in Radeon), 32 GB ram, 4 HDDS and 2 NVMEs.Remember having issues with C-State and power saving years ago, but after adjusting the bios unRAID has been stable until now.Anyone know if anything changed with the new kernel in 7.3.3?
Saturday at 06:52 AM2 days Community Expert Six reboots in one night right after the update, after two months of uptime on 7.3.2, does point at something that changed with 7.3.3. But we need logs to see what is actually happening. Please do the following:1. Post diagnostics (Tools > Diagnostics) from the current boot.2. Enable the syslog server with "Mirror syslog to flash" (Settings > Syslog Server). The normal syslog lives in RAM and is lost on every reboot. With the mirror on, the next reboot leaves a log on the flash drive showing what happened just before. Post that file with new diagnostics after the next event.3. Check the BIOS settings you used years ago are still applied. A BIOS update or CMOS reset puts them back to default. For this platform the usual one is Power Supply Idle Control set to Typical Current Idle (under AMD CBS / Advanced CPU options). If you previously disabled Global C-states, check that too.4. To confirm whether 7.3.3 is the trigger, you can go back to 7.3.2 with Tools > Update OS > Restore. If it runs stable again on 7.3.2, that makes it a release regression and gives us something concrete to look into. If it also reboots on 7.3.2, the cause is more likely hardware/BIOS that just happened to show up now. Also, are you using the NVIDIA driver plugin for the P400? If the reboots continue on 7.3.3 before you roll back, a boot in Safe Mode (no plugins) for a while would help rule that out.
Saturday at 08:17 AM2 days Author Did a downgrade to 7.3.2, but that did not help. Then I checked settings and noticed the downgrade did not restore the power mode settings. On the AMD Ryzen I have to keep it to best performance. The power save mode crash the server when it tried to go into power saving mode. I changed the settings and 7.3.2 is stable again. Will try to upgrade and check the settings again later today.
