One or multiple pools

Featured Replies

I have two cache pools. One with nvme for appdata, domains, system, documents, etc.

The other one with two SATA SSDs, purely my writing cache for all other shares until mover runs.

But I'm wondering now if there's actually an advantage in splitting these up besides space. Of which I really don't have a lack of. My 500gb nvme - pool is, even with my reverse geocoding, only filled half.

What do you prefer?

The "caching" pool can be allowed to overflow to the array.

The shares on the other pool can be exclusive to that pool for better performance.
