July 8, 201214 yr There is an open file. All files must be closed. Enter "cd ~", if your logged in to the server (if your not logged in then ignore). Perhaps an add-on is still running.
July 8, 201214 yr Author Yeah I had an rsync command running - I killed it. Now I have to figure out how to turn back on samba to update the boot / flash
July 9, 201214 yr Yeah I had an rsync command running - I killed it. Now I have to figure out how to turn back on samba to update the boot / flash /root/samba start should do it.
July 9, 201214 yr Author I started back up the array and replaced the files and everything looks great! Boy what an upgrade Question you guys might be able to help me with: I ran the update permissions script before adding back in the cache drive. Do I have to do anything special in regard to permissions for that drive? Thanks, Neil
July 9, 201214 yr Author Also another quick question is that when I go to shares one of my shares has a red ball. I am not even sure what this means? Looks like I can't access some shares. I can access a couple others - no explanation why. I did add a secondary user since all my shares are public. Thanks, Neil
July 9, 201213 yr Look closer, that indicator is probably orange It indicates there is something on the cache drive not yet moved to the protected array.
July 9, 201213 yr Author You are probably right! Everything is green now - but I can't access some of my shares with SMB? I added the new user.
