Process called "Migration" eating all my cycles!

Is anyone able to tell me what is the process called "migration"?

 

And as a follow up, can I kill it without risking the array?

    [update] So for kicks, I looked at my top processes through Putty, and 'migration' is not using any cycles at all.... Perhaps a bug in SimpleFeatures plugin (i was using the activity monitor)?...
