eggs
Hi folks. I have an issue that I can't seem to resolve by googling, and I wondered if anyone could help? I've been setting up some new shares, and made one private for the first time. In doing so, I enabled user security. My browser then kicked me out of the management utility, and I can't get back into it. When I try to connect via browsers (safari, Firefox), I get the message 'safari could not open the page because it could not connect to the server'. My existing shares are still there, and data is still accessible, but I seem to have broken things a bit... Having read through some troubleshooting stuff, it seems my browsers should be asking me for my root password, but they aren't. Link to comment
dgaschk
Can you connect using the ip address? Link to comment
eggs
No. The ip address brings up the same message. I'm thinking that maybe it needs a re-boot for the changes to take effect? I'm waiting for a large transfer to finish before I try powering it down with the chassis button to hopefully avoid a parity check. Cross everything crossable! Link to comment
