September 6, 201213 yr I need a cable to hook a CSE-M35T1 up to a M1015 card. The CSE-M35T1 has 5 SATA connectors and the M1015 a SFF8087 connector? Do I need forward or reverse breakout? Are there different brands like 3Ware AMCC or Molex. Please available in Holland/Europe.
September 6, 201213 yr Forward breakout cable is what you are after - no idea where to source them in Europe.
September 6, 201213 yr I have some from the company who does norco in the Netherlands. http://cybershop.ri-vier.nl/discrete-sff8087-to-4x-sata-mini-sas-forward-brkout-cable-l50-p-103.html 15 euro ex btw The look the same as the cables that monoprice has i think They work ok, but the cables are quite thin, so not advise them to be connected/disconnect a lot of times, the might damage. Other option is a supermicro cable. http://www.serverdirect.eu/onlineserverkopen/supermicro-cbl0118-23cm-c-hdd-sff8087-4-x-sas-p-301.html This is about 10 euro ex btw, but short. It seems to have some kind of control cable as well, perhaps usefull if you have supermicro 5 in3 racks.
