Bug - emhttp refresh wakes drives

Featured Replies

I have noticed this problem through many releases. Currently on 5.0-rc6-r8168-test2

One example:

Ran new permissions last night. Left web page on http://%server%/Utils/NewPerms,'>http://%server%/Utils/NewPerms, no clients (all shutdown) or any connect to the unRAID server at all. Left a terminal with tail running.

This afternoon I see the terminal showing all drives were spun down as of 6am (drives set to sleep after 30mins). No other entries in the syslog. Proceeded to click on the "Main" tab (from the http://%server%/Utils/NewPerms page I left off from last night). Page finally loaded and showed 4 drives awake. Waited 30 mins syslog showed the same 4 drives spun down.

I have seen this many time, the web gui spins up drives. There is something in the code that ends up waking up drives (random drives). It is reproducible when the web gui is left unused for a few hours/days/weeks.

No add-ons, strictly the builtin unRAID GUI.

I've noticed this as well.
