[SOLVED] access denined on mapped drive, but not via UNC. any idea?

Featured Replies

Ok,

I created a user share, when i map the drive in my windows 7, it maps fine, I can access the root of it, but any subfolder, i get access denied.

at the same time, if I access via the UNC, i can access all folders without any issues.

any idea why?

the export setting is "Yes", and it's "Public" as well.

The reason I want to map the drive, is because this windows 7 machine has my SABnzbd and other tools (SickBeard) installed on, and SAB does not allow the use of UNC in the Config>Folder

have you run new permissions script?

no, what is that?

unraid 5 requires different file system permissions then previous versions.

Look around the web gui, you'll see it (I think its under utilities).

Nevermind guys,

It wasn't a permission issue from unRAID.

It's that SABnzbd requires all mapped drives actually mapped before it can start.  If it starts before the mapped drives are assigned, it won't recognize it.

I had to proprely arrange what to start (the order of starting the applications such as SAB, sickbeard....etc.)

Thanks though :)
